THE CHALLENGE

Traders lose a lot of time just gathering information — prices on one site, company numbers on another, charts on a third.

Working out what is actually moving means checking each one by hand, and by then the moment has often passed.

I wanted one screen that answered it: fast enough to trust, and cheap enough for one person to run.

WHAT I BUILT

A live screener for cryptocurrencies and US stocks that shows what is moving right now, with a chart one click away.

Data that changes by the second is fetched fresh; data that changes a few times a day is stored and reused. That keeps it quick without the running costs getting out of hand.

I built and run everything around it too — the hosting, the domain, the email, and the search visibility that brings people in.

The short version

Tradenour is a product I built and run myself. Traders use it to see which cryptocurrencies and US stocks are moving right now, in one place, instead of flicking between five different sites. It is live at tradenour.com and free while in beta.

I built every part of it: the product, the design, the servers it runs on, the domain, the email, and the search rankings that bring people to it. It is the clearest example of what I can take on end to end.

The problem it solves

Traders lose a surprising amount of time simply gathering information. Prices live on one site, company numbers on another, charts on a third, and working out what is actually moving means checking each one by hand. By the time you have an answer, the moment has often passed.

Tradenour puts it on one screen: what is moving, what is approaching a level worth watching, and a chart one click away.

What it does

  • Ranks cryptocurrencies by how strongly they are moving right now, updating live.
  • Flags coins approaching the price levels traders watch, on both short and medium timeframes.
  • Does the same across the whole US stock market — NASDAQ, NYSE and the rest — with filters on any figure in the table.
  • Opens a full chart for any coin or stock without leaving the site.
  • Compares coins against Bitcoin as well as against the dollar, which is how many crypto traders actually think.
  • Remembers the filters each person builds, so their setup is waiting for them next time.

Built to stay fast without burning money

Live market data is expensive to serve, and a screener that lags is worse than no screener. The site is split in two: the numbers that change by the second are fetched fresh every time, while the ones that change a few times a day are stored and reused, then refreshed the instant new figures land. Visitors get current data, and the running costs stay small enough for one person to carry.

It is also built to grow quickly. When a new piece of market data becomes available, it shows up in the table on its own — correctly labelled, sortable and filterable — with no rebuild. New capability lands in hours rather than weeks.

Getting found without paying for clicks

A standard search audit scored the site 37 out of 100 at the start. It now scores over 80.

The biggest problem was invisible from the outside: the rule protecting the logged-in area was accidentally hiding the entire site from Google, so every page looked broken to search engines. Once that was fixed, the rest followed:

  • A public side of the site that anyone — and Google — can read without an account: what it does, what it costs, who is behind it, and the legal pages a financial tool needs.
  • A clear map of every page, so new ones get found instead of sitting unnoticed.
  • A plain description of the product that AI assistants can read, so they explain it accurately.
  • Proper share previews generated automatically for every page.
  • Security settings that make browsers and search engines treat the site as trustworthy.

The result is people finding Tradenour through search, without a penny spent on ads.

Fast on real devices

The main content is ready in two seconds on an ordinary phone. I also tracked down and fixed a fault where the page shifted about while loading — the reason you sometimes tap the wrong button on a page that is still settling. Nothing moves now.

Run like a real business, not a side project

I bought and set up the domain, configured the hosting so every code change goes live automatically, and put error monitoring in place so faults are reported to me rather than discovered by users.

Email is handled properly too. Sign-up codes and password resets arrive in inboxes instead of spam folders, because the sending domain is verified the way email providers expect. The support address on the site reaches a real inbox, and replies come back from that same address.

What this shows

  • A live product in daily use, built and operated by one person from idea to running service.
  • Search visibility raised from 37 to over 80, with no advertising spend.
  • Loads in two seconds on a normal phone, with nothing jumping around.
  • Visitor tracking and search reporting in place, so decisions come from data rather than hunches.
  • Domain, hosting, email, monitoring and legal pages all handled — not just the part you can see.

THE OUTCOME

Live, in daily use, and found on Google without paying for a single click.
